To be a creative space for women and women in the red-light district

The situation 

Many women who work and live in the red light district

do not have much normality in their lives, they work, sleep, and exist within that area.

When we meet with them they often share the dreams that they once had, or that they aren't able to do anything just for themselves. Many do not have any deep relationships or contact with other women or friends within Frankfurt, and they experience deep loneliness. 

Their body does not feel like their own, as it has become a tool for work, a machine that must get the job done. We wish to show them how their body can also be used to express and create. That the body can also be just for them.

This is not only a difficulty for women in the district, but for many women who do not find security in their body.

We want to create a safe space for women alike to build relationships and beautiful pieces together.

Project Description

For many women the body does not feel like home and a safe place. It has become a working tool, instead of a vessel for expression. Every week women will come together, growing in awareness, and become able to express themselves in the creative and beautiful design that they are. We will focus on four points of awareness: body, relationship, spatial and dynamic.

Our heart is for women to find a home in their own skin, and find community with each other as we go on this creative journey together - leaving us inspired.
